The Missions Ministry is very important at Parkcrest. We agree that job number one is to be God-centered and not self-centered, and to seek God's values not worldly values. The message of Christ needs to reach the world, and this is done through the efforts of local churches and also through a global emphasis. Prayer and financial support are two key ingredients of Parkcrest's Mission work.
We have been asked and taught to bring the unsaved into an eternal relationship with Jesus whether it is under our own roof or an international hot spot. God loved the world so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, and we have been invited to be a partner in the family business!
The Mission Possible Ministry is designed to encourage participation in the world-wide ministry of Jesus Christ. We want to fulfill the action suggested by the following Scripture.
"Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind." Psalm 67:2
* Support Missionaries Financially - Parkcrest partners with missionaries around the globe. These men and women have given their lives to spreading the gospel of Christ and are only able to do so through your support. When you give, you are helping build schools, medical clinics, provide food, clean water, housing, bibles and a variety of other services to those who would not otherwise have them.
. * Adopt a Child from Tumaini - When you adopt a child through Tumaini you are giving a child in Africa a chance. Your monthly donation will provide food, school supplies, and other necessities a child needs. Above all you are giving them hope for a better tomorrow. * Go to Tijuana - Once a month a team heads down to Centro Shalom, a community center in the poorest area of Tijuana, Mexico. They are dedicated to extending the love of Christ through providing clean water, distributing food, teaching life skills and welcoming all to worship in Jesus' name. * Go on an Overseas Trip - Every summer we have teams travel across the globe to be a part of what God is doing here, there and everywhere. We would love to have you be a part of one of those teams.
